1. Grab your base! Mine is Angela Aki!! If your base is not black and white, go to IMAGE > ADJUSTMENT > DESURATE. You can mess around with the BRIGHTNESS AND CONTRAST or LEVELS to make the picture nicer if you want.

2. Next, use   (by

lifeisdolce) and set this to SCREEN 100%.

3. Duplicate your base. Drag it all the way to the top and set it to OVERLAY 100%.

4. Now add  (by lifeisdolce @ LJ) and set this layer to PIN LIGHT 100%. Rotate this texture to suit your icon. =)

5. Next, add (by arisubox @ LJ) and leave it at normal. Grab your magic wand tool and select the white areas. Delete all of the white colored parts. You can zoom your icon to 500% to make it easier to delete. =)

6. Now add  (by ???) and set this later to DARKEN 100%.

7. TIME FOR TEXT! Add your text in any color that suits the icon.

8. Lastly, I added  brush to decorate it a little! xD

DONE!!! have fun trying it out!
